FAQs
What do I wear?
Four seasons in one day means that you should be prepared for any weather. Loose fitting, breathable clothing and comfortable trainers are essential. A jacket that can keep you warm pre and post workout is also a good idea.
What do I bring with me?
As well as yourself, ensure you bring some water. Hydration, even when temperatures are a bit nippy, is very important.
What happens if it rains?
Rain or shine, hot or cold, all sessions go ahead as planned.
I’ve never trained before?
girlsup4fit caters for all women at all levels. Personal Training is a great way to build your confidence and technique. Group work will help you meet like minded women in a social environment. It’s your choice. There is no sergeant major boot camp here, all workouts are pressure free, as long as you put in the effort you will see the results.
I’m about to have a baby / I’ve just had a baby?
Having a baby doesn’t mean that exercise has to stop. Women who have previously maintained a level of fitness prior to pregnancy should be able to safely maintain this during pregnancy as long as there are no other complications. Research has shown that exercising during pregnancy can reduce complications and speed recovery afterwards.
Exercise post birth (after 6 weeks) can give you some much needed energy and confidence and help strengthen and tone your body.
girlsup4fit sessions are suitable for women who are due to have a baby or have just given birth. Each workout will include low impact, pregnancy friendly options. All instructors are qualified in pre and post-natal fitness.
Please note medical clearance is required prior to attending a session.

Isn't it expensive?
Investing in your health is one of the best decisions you can make. It's no more expensive than going to a beauty salon or buying a new top, but it does fall low on some people's list of priorities. It's about your long-term well-being; health & fitness is for life, helping you look and feel great. We do a lot of behind the scenes work e.g. analysing your diet, designing a programme, calling you throughout the week for motivational chats; there's more to it than just the hour or so you actually spend one-to one with us. Also, costs are reduced if you book a block of sessions and you can choose how often you would like to see us be it weekly or even monthly.
